Fielding: How-To : Manually Practice Fielding index next

To manually run a practice from the Fielding Practice screen, you will not need to use routines. Instead, you will throw one ball at a time. To do this:

  1. Click on Fielding Practice from the main screen. You will see a picture of a field with each position shown as a square.

Fielding Practice

  1. To throw the ball to a position, click on the position square (i.e. pitcher).
  2. Check the third and forth button down on the right hand column. This third button will show about how hard the ball will go. By clicking this button, you can toggle through the values Soft, Medium, and Hard.
  3. The fourth button down will allow you to toggle between Ground Ball, Line Drive, and Fly Ball.
  4. For even more control over the ball, you can adjust ball.
  5. When you have set the ball the way you want, click the move button. This will cause FungoMan to point to the selected position and set it's wheel speed for the throw.

Fielding Practice

  1. When you are ready to throw, click the fire button. On the PDA. The fire button is the hardware button on the top left of the PDA (when the PDA is held in landscape mode). FungoMan will throw to the approximate position.

You can keep throwing balls by selecting the position, moving and firing.
