Los Angeles, CA – April 9, 2010 Reel Hardball, an annual series of independent baseball films packaged for distribution in partnership with MLB Network and Comcast Regional Sports Networks, is pleased to announce FungoMan as an official partner and Grand Slam sponsor.
FungoMan manufactures and sells their flagship product, the FM-250 Automated Baseball Practice Machine to Professional, College, High School, and youth leagues players and teams. Through the use of a wired or wireless controller, their portable machine is capable of throwing balls every three seconds to any position on the field at speeds over 100 mph. The FM-250 operates simply, as either a pitching or fielding machine. A coach or player can call up team or individual pre-programmed routines using an intuitive touch screen and begin working out on the most efficient, portable, and advanced baseball practice machine seen in baseball.
“We are proud to be associated with Reel Hardball. We are in sync with their mission to promote and enhance the great game of baseball,” said Romy Cucjen, President and co-inventor of FungoMan. “Our goal is to manufacture machines that will empower coaches and players to be the best they can be. A coach’s creativity and ability to maximize practice time will drive this machine’s usefulness.”
“We are excited to partner with a company that is introducing technology to the game of baseball which will take the game to another level entirely,” said Reel Hardball producer PJ Moynihan. “We also think that the “FungoMan Challenge” is going to be a fantastic addition to the ball parks tour we have planned this coming summer.”
The Reel Hardball franchise - a series that matches the spirit of independent filmmaking with a global passion for the game of baseball - premiered on MLB Network in January of 2010, and is presented by Golden Corral.
Reel Hardball will begin it’s in-season airings this Sunday, April 11th at 8pm on MLB Network. To find MLB Network in your area, go to http://www.MLBNetwork.com
